I painted the dried Jack-O-Lantern gourd 20 years ago.

I just love to decorate for fall. We grew a lot of cool, strange gourds and things in the garden. Last year I bought a few bottle gourds and threw them in the compost after Thanksgiving. They returned as a huge wheel barrow full in all sorts of swan-necked and other shapes. I guess I'll dry some and paint them up next year. Today I dug up a few herbs that won't make it through an Illinois winter. I potted them and brought them into the poodle porch. Yes, I have a poodle porch. Doesn't everyone?
