If you used to have a boxed mix mentality for all side dishes you need to think OUTSIDE the box. Lots of natural GF goodness without all the sodium. The first pic is a whole pan of fresh veggies, sauted and served over quinoa. This makes a great vegetarian dish too as quinoa is chock full of protein. The second pic is a little sauted veggies, add 1 cup dry rice and cook a little more. Add 2 cups of liquid and simmer until done. For both I used onion and garlic and a few herbs for my seasoning. No salt needed!
