Katz Gluten-Free

I really do not buy many prepared GF foods. First of all, when I was a newly diagnosed celiac back in the dinosaur days they were all terrible. Secondly, you guys keep me on my toes posting new recipes! And by the way I am nearing my 200th post...I'll have to do something special! Awhile back I ordered a sample pack from Katz plus a few other food items to try. They were so good that I could have put them on a platter and passed them off as homemade! Some of the names of things were unfamiliar to a central Illinois un-Kosher girl. But those names turned out to be my favorites. Love, love, love Raspberry Hamantaschen!!! However I call them Ham-and-snackin. My girls were coming for a visit and it was 100 degrees so I ordered a box of Katz food and they just loved it. By the way, if you spend $40 the shipping from Katz is free- yeah! I contacted them and asked if they would send me some samples for a GF class I was teaching and they were so nice. They send me a bunch so I took it to the Pontiac Celiac support group meeting and it all was a big hit. The chocolate cupcakes they sent were to die for! Their foods are also dairy free so if you have to avoid that too this is the brand for you. They are also nut free and some are egg free too. My other fav is the 7 inch pizza crusts, 4 in a package for $5.99. The cookies and treats that I have purchased were just lightly sweet, and even the chocolate cupcakes (which I normally don't eat) were not overly sweet.
Check out their website at http://www.katzglutenfree.com/Their sample pack to get started is free one time for a shipping charge. The support group says Thanks Katz!! You have fans in the central Illinois cornfields!
PS I've been picking blackberries today. Check back for a delicious recipe later! GF Gloria
